Abstract
The IAR President highlighted the need for consolidated efforts of scientists, experts and enterprises to develop strategic tasks for refrigeration engineering and food technologies, and find complex solutions based on fundamental and applied research. On the whole, by 24 April 2012, the International Academy of Refrigeration had on its list 1646 members, including 32 honorary members, 742 full members (academicians), 725 corresponding members, and 147 academic advisors.
