Abstract
The change in the section area of a relief port of a screw compressor, the volumetric capacity of which is regulated by a slide valve, is considered. The analysis of change of the relief port area by the turning angles of the driving rotor shows that if the valve with changed rims is used, then this area in the phase of control is always larger, i. e., the gas dynamic resistance is less. Besides, the mathematical model of the compressor BX-130 (R22) shows that compressor efficiency with the changed slide valve during capacity control is 2 - 8 % higher, than if the standard slide valve is used.
