Abstract
Worldwide standards of air quality requirements in spaces for various purposes are steadily growing. Ever-growing level of such requirements is proved by the fact that the list of spaces, where optimal air quality parameters are to be maintained by air conditioning systems, annually proliferates. Accordingly power consumption to maintain these parameters is increasing. Open doorways, window openings, and other embrasures result in substantial heat losses and become the main reason of drafts in spaces. Air-thermal curtains (ATC) allow therewith solving some problems that are connected with microclimate maintenance and power intensity of a building as a whole.
Keywords: air quality parameters, microclimate maintenance, aero- and thermodynamic processes, air thermal curtains, mathematical models.
