Abstract
In his report Aleksander V. Baranenko, The President of IAR, commented on increasing contribution of The Academy into modern processes of refrigeration and food technology in Russia and abroad. Energy saving problems and the problems of economic complex energy efficiency increasing were considered. Great attention was paid to the food safety. The problems of food quality, save food processing and manufacturing, along with the ones of food prices, are of great importance for the world now. The President believed, that the creative force of the Academy and its active participating in international differentiation of labor would promote effective problem solving of the refrigeration and food industry.
