Abstract
A summary of possible applications is given for lithium bromide absorption refrigerating systems (LBARS) with the temperature of cooled medium 0….1,5 оС. A review of research results obtained in Russia and abroad in the sphere of low-temperature LBARS (up to temperatures 0–5 оС) is presented. Because of a growing demand for low-temperature LBARS, a test bench has been made at the Institute of Thermal Physics, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, for researching this range of temperatures.
