Abstract
Results of calculation of capillary tubes under equal terms by the homogeneous (single phase) model are compared to those with sliding phases obtained by using four dimensionless relations to measure real volume of vapor fraction in a two-phase flow by various workers. The homogeneous model is found to guarantee better coincidence with the data on the well-known nomogram of throttling chladones R12 and R22. The other models are likely to overstate the length of the capillary tube, while pressure in the critical section is understated.
Keywords: refrigerating systems, capillary tube, throttling, oil return, calculation method, critical section, vapor content.
