Abstract
An analytical solution is suggested for the quasi-stationary problem of ice build-up on an outer spherical surface with third-order boundary conditions on the inner surface and third-order boundary conditions on the outer surface. More general than the existing ones, this method should be applied to solve the task of ice formation on the working elements of cold accumulators.
Keywords: air cooler, modelling, cold accumulators, cooled surface, heat and mass transfer, phase transition, spherical surface.
