Abstract
The Davis-Rice-Sengers square-well theory of transport properties of a model fluid is tested for tetrafluoromethane. The applicability of the hard-sphere model is performed using rigorous expressions for hard-sphere transport coefficients but corrected for the effects of molecular collisions. Numerical calculations are made for the case of the coefficients of self-diffusion, thermal conductivity and viscosity of liquid and rarified gas states of tetrafluoromethane.
