Abstract
Fragmentation analysis has been used to identify effective thermal and hydrodynamic properties in heterogeneous porous and biomaterials. The presented technique is based on computerized calculation of a fragment isolated from the system by means of the proposed procedure. All existing physical processes are fully taken into consideration. An example is given to illustrate the identification process for an effective heat conductivity ratio in non-homogenous biomaterials structured as an ordered mixture of fluid and semifluid components with due regard to convection.

Keywords: heterogeneous porous materials, effective thermal physical properties, fragmentation analysis.
